We are happy to invite you to join us in Umeå when we celebrate 40 years of ARLIS/Norden, founded in 1986 in Stockholm. During the conference we will look back at the history of ARLIS/Norden, share memories and meet old friends and look forward to what our network can become in the future. The theme of the conference is ”Working together” and will feature examples of collaborations between libraries and artists as well as offer a chance to explore and plan for future collaborations within our network of members.
The conference will also focus on organisational changes that many special libraries have made or are undergoing. It will reflect on how specialized knowledge, access to collections, and professional identities can be sustained, and how collaboration and networks can provide support in times of change.
The conference will take place at Curiosum at the Umeå University Arts campus located near the city center.
Registration for the conference will start Monday 30th of March and close on 30th of April.
A preliminary program will be available soon!
